IMPLEMENTATION:  Each building will implement Standards-Aligned Classroom to every certified staff

member.  The school wide implementation will consist of grade level teams.  Each team may include

support staff and will be assigned a building administrator.  Each team may consist of both special

education and regular education teachers.  Following an initial one day SAC training the teams will

meet weekly with a SAC coach.  Each building will be assigned two SAC coaches for the first six week

 implementation.  Following the initial six week implementation, learning teams will meet at least twice

monthly with the SAC coach. Teams will meet vertically, quarterly to discuss content across the grades.

Success of the implementation will be monitored on several levels and data will be collected. The goal

is improved academic achievement specifically in the chosen school and classroom target.

Work directly with SAC School-wide Coordinator to provide support for SAC Coaches and assist

with the implementation of the Peoria SAC School-wide Project for 2008-2009

Coach Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Review and provide input to the 25 Step Implementation Process
  • Co-write the one day SAC School-wide training
  • Coordinate Training Dates and Sites
  • Train all teams for the SAC School-wide during four one-day trainings to be held in August
  • Co-train new coaches for SAC School-wide July/August
  • Coordinate SAC Coaches networking meetings for coaches – monthly (10 meetings)
  • Oversee the Learning Teams meetings and conduct site visits as needed and serve as a trouble shooter for coaches
  • Monitor the learning team log or reflection process
  • Coordinate and oversee Spring Celebrations
  • Serve as a liaison between SAC School-wide Coaches and Penny Murphy, Coordinator
