  SAC Coaching Agreements


Challenge yourself to challenge others.

Become a SAC Coach and help other teachers discover what a difference SAC can make.

As a SAC Coach, you will be asked to:

  • Attend the one-day training of coaches, the two-day Level I training, and the one-day Level II training (if applicable).
  • Provide support and resources for Learning Teams.
  • Help school-based Learning Teams become self-directed, motivated learners who continue their work after the first year.
  • Work with Learning Teams to ensure they complete and share products (aligned lessons/units and assessments).
  • Attend meetings of Level I Learning Team (initially every 2-3 weeks) and help team work toward independence.
  • Attend at least 8 Level II Learning Teams meetings.
  • Help Learning Teams, as needed, prepare for the Spring SAC fairs (if applicable).
  • Attend one-day SAC fair, if applicable.
  • Attend area-wide coaches network meetings and other learning opportunities as offered.
  • Engage in ongoing personal learning about standards, alignment and assessment.
  • Maintain a reflective journal.
  • Evaluate unit plan organizers using checklist for Level I teams.
  • Evaluate lesson plans using the checklist for Level II teams.
