SAC Coaching Agreements
Challenge yourself to challenge others.
Become a SAC Coach and help other teachers discover
what a difference SAC can make.
As a SAC Coach, you will be asked to:
- Attend the one-day training of coaches, the two-day
Level I training, and the one-day Level II training (if applicable).
- Provide support and resources for Learning Teams.
- Help school-based Learning Teams become self-directed,
motivated learners who continue their work after the first year.
- Work with Learning Teams to ensure they complete
and share products (aligned lessons/units and assessments).
- Attend meetings of Level I Learning Team (initially
every 2-3 weeks) and help team work toward independence.
- Attend at least 4 Level II Learning Teams meetings.
- Help Learning Teams, as needed, prepare for the
Spring SAC fairs (if applicable).
- Attend one-day SAC fair, if applicable.
- Attend area-wide coaches network meetings and other learning opportunities as offered.
- Engage in ongoing personal learning about standards,
alignment and assessment.
- Maintain a reflective journal.
- Evaluate unit plan organizers using checklist
for Level I teams.
- Evaluate lesson plans using the SAC rubric
for Level II or for Aurora Credit.
